Billy Caulfield RIP

Billy Caulfield, Cregmore, Clareglaway, Co.Galway.
St. Gabriel’s Hurling Club would like to extend our deepest sympathies to the family of the late Billy Caulfield of Cregmore, Claregalway, Co. Galway.
Billy was a former player with St. Gabriel’s and proudly wore the club jersey during his time with us. The Caulfield family have a long and valued association with the club, with five Caulfield brothers — Martin, Tom, Tony, Paul and Billy — all playing with St. Gabriel’s during the 1980s and into the early 1990s. The family connection is remembered with great appreciation, especially at this sad time.
We remember Billy with great fondness and gratitude for his contributions to St. Gabriel’s Hurling Club in London, his beloved St. Mary’s Athenry Club, and the wider GAA community. His passing will be deeply felt by all who knew him.
Our sincere condolences to his beloved wife, Carmel; his children, Jacqueline, Conor, and Stephen; his grandchildren, Oisín and Naoise; his brothers and sisters; his extended family; his neighbours; his friends; and all who mourn his loss.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.
His Funeral Mass took place at the Church of the Assumption, Athenry, on Saturday, 11th July, at 11 am, after which he was laid to rest in the New Cemetery, Athenry.
