St Gabriel’s Mourns the Passing of Mick Kenny, RIP
St Gabriel’s Hurling Club has learned with great sadness of the passing of our esteemed Life President and former Club President, Michael (Mick) Kenny.
A native of Kiltormer, County Galway, Mick was a much-loved and highly respected figure within St Gabriel’s and the wider GAA community in London and throughout Britain.
A former Chairman of the London County Board and President of the Provincial Council of Britain, Mick devoted many decades to the service of Gaelic games. His longstanding association with St Gabriel’s, his love of hurling and his dedication to the GAA will be remembered with great affection, gratitude and respect.
Mick’s passing will be deeply felt, not only within our own club, but across the wider London GAA community, to which he contributed so much over so many years.
The officers and members of St Gabriel’s extend our heartfelt sympathies to Mick’s sons Michael and John, daughter Theresa, their families and the extended Kenny family.
