Brendie Brien inducted into St Gabriel’s Hall of Fame (2025)

St Gabriel’s Hurling Club was proud to induct Brendie Brien into our Hall of Fame for 2025.

Presented by Club Chairperson Eamonn Sheil, the award recognises a lifetime of service and a contribution that has helped shape St Gabriel’s in London across decades. Brendie has been the heart and soul of the club for many years — a constant presence, a steady hand, and a clubman in the truest sense, who continues to support St Gabriel’s to this day.

Brendie’s impact has also reached far beyond the club. His work in London GAA and the wider GAA community has been immense, and his contribution has already been recognised at national level through the GAA President’s Award — a fitting reflection of the scale of his service.

A truly worthy recipient, and a hugely popular induction.

Comhghairdeas, Brendie — and thank you for everything you have given to St Gabriel’s and to the GAA in London.
