Collins Cup semi-final: St Gabriel’s v Brothers Pearse

St Gabriel’s return to Collins Cup action this Thursday evening when they take on old rivals Brothers Pearse in the semi-final at East Lane. The throw-in is at 7.15 pm.

The Jim Collins Cup has long held a special place in London hurling. It is one of London’s established senior hurling competitions and, for St Gabriel’s, it is a trophy closely woven into the club’s own history. Since first lifting the cup in 1966, Gabriel’s have built up a proud Collins Cup tradition, with repeated successes across the decades — from the great teams of the 1960s, 70s, 80s and 90s through to more recent wins in 2018, 2021, 2022 and 2023.

Meetings between the sides have rarely lacked edge or intensity, and with a place in the Collins Cup final at stake, another competitive contest is expected.

All support would be greatly appreciated at East Lane as the lads look to keep the club’s Collins Cup campaign alive.
